Tiered Rewards in Upsell by AMP cart.

The Tiered Rewards allows you to offer certain benefits to your merchants when they reach a milestone. At the moment, you can set up your reward based on the Cart total or the Item Count on the cart.

Types of Rewards available:

1. Free Shipping
2. Order Discount
3. Free Gift

For each reward setup, there is an in-app component and a Shopify component that needs to be set up. Here, we will show you how to configure each type of reward and create a combination that fits your needs.

Setting up Free Shipping Rewards.

Setup on AMP's Cart

1. Select Reward type as Free Shipping.
2. Adjust parameters such as Milestone amount and Text.

Setup matching Free Shipping on Shopify 

1. Click Settings in the left navigation panel.

2. Select "Shipping & Delivery" > and under Shipping pick "Manage"

3. Set up a Free Shipping rate with same minimum price amounts as your Free Shipping Rewards on AMP Cart.

(bonus note: some merchants might choose to have multiple different free shipping tiers. eg. Free Standard Shipping, Free Expedited Shipping)

Setting up Order Discount Rewards.

Setup on AMP's Cart

1. Select Reward type as Order Discount.
2. Choose Milestone amount and Text.

Setup matching automatic discounts on Shopify

1. At our Tiered Rewards feature click, click the shortcut "Go to Shopify Discounts." Alternatively, you can go to "Discounts" on your Shopify admin page.

2. On Shopify, create an automatic discount in line with your reward tiers.

Setting up Free Gift Rewards.

1. Select Reward type as Free Gift.
2. Click Choose Product to award as Free Gift.

Please make sure to always SAVE your changes:

Setup on Shopify

1. On Shopify Discounts Page,

   Create a discount > Select Buy X Get Y Discount

2. For Customer Spends,

   If the Tiered Rewards Milestone type selected is Item Count, choose: minimum quantity of items.

   If the Tiered Rewards Milestone Type selected is Cart Total, choose: minimum purchase amount.

3. Ensure the amount matches with Milestone to hit on AMP Cart.
4. Under Customer Spends, There are two options:

a. Option 1 -- Add all qualifying products for Free Gifts under an aggregated collection. You may want to create a new collection first on your store setup.

b. Option 2 -- Add all qualifying products manually (more tedious if your store has many products)

5. Under Customer Gets, select the specific product(s), consistent to what was set on AMP Cart.
6. For Discounted Value option, select Free
7. Click Save.

Request: Can Order Discounts be used with Free Gift (Buy X Get Y) discounts?

Shopify has several limitations about combining discounts, but in general, it should be possible to combine Order and Product discounts.

Buy X Get Y discounts, can work with other Product discounts if both are explicitly ticked to combine (eg. Buy $100 Get Y can work with Buy 1 t-shirt, get 1 cap free, both are which are classified under Buy X Get Y type discounts) and as long as the discount is applied to different items/products in the same car.
