Setting up A/B testing in Upsell by AMP
Our A/B testing feature allows you to compare two offers at any placement in your Journey. In this article, you will find a complete guide on how to set up this feature.
Steps to run A/B Tests
- Go to Journeys and create a new Journey (You can also add A/B tests to your existing Journeys).
- Select the conditions of your Journey ( if you need more help with this, check out our guide on How to setup an upselling journey?)
- In the placement where you want to have the A/B test, click Add A/B Test.
- Select the products that you want to show on each upsell, and remember to save your changes.
- After you hit Save, the A/B test details will appear. You can start the A/B test by clicking Start.
The test will show A and B offers 50% of the time on average, respectively. keep in mind that it may not show variant A followed by variant B all the time, but overall, throughout a couple of hours, the average will come out to be 50/50.
After you have run the test for a couple of days ( and see 1 type of offer definitely bringing in more revenue than the other), you can pick a winner. We will continue showing that winner to all customers from that point onwards.
